Islamic Extremism is Real
First, we must admit that fundamental extremism in Islam is real. They are a group of people who are religiously motivated and declaring Jihad, a holy war, against the United States. This fact we can not dispute and we can't throw extremism under the rug.
However, we must make it clear in our discussions that not all Muslims are radicalized and committing Jihad. In fact, it is a minority of Muslims who actually commit terrorism. I am not the person who is going to attempt to say terrorism does not exist. Instead, I will make the case that terrorism is increased by our presence over there. What the CIA calls Blow Back, or the unintended consequences of our foreign policy.

Marque and Reprisal
The Solution: Dealing with a radical threat involves presenting a radical solution. Marque and Reprisal is a legal form of warfare that is permitted under the Constitution. This form of warfare allows us to save our blood, treasure and honor. We merely put prices on the heads of the leaders of the terrorist groups. We will give an incentive to the Middle East to turn over their extremists. Our military will still be able to gather information and chart where terrorist concentrate.
Instead, of funneling foreign aid dollars, treasure, where we hardly have any idea where it gets spent. We will have direct control over our tax dollars due to the fact it will be a cash reward. Instead of promises from puppet governments we will see results. In fact, some puppets we pay actually turn on us and promote terrorism with our own tax dollars. This solution is not a covert type of warfare. One of the biggest problems with our foreign policy is that we constantly use covert warfare. Marque and Reprisal is a public decree and the international community can see the declaration. We will restore our honor around the world by being open about who our enemies are and how we are acting towards them. Finally, this solution saves lives. With less adventuring around the world and the closing of needless military bases. We will save our own soldier's lives, but as a bonus we will also save the lives of civilians accidentally killed during war. |
In conclusion, the solution of Marque and Reprisal will be a great relief once more Americans hear of its legality. It will be a breathe of fresh air due to the fact we can bring our military home. We will have more funds for military bases, here inside our own borders, as well as money to invest in missile defense systems. Such as the Iron Dome. We will be safer, richer and more honorable in the future if we adopt this method towards terrorism.
